German Lasagne!

I have had this recipe for YEARS and FINALLY made it.  Similar to a Rueben Pasta that I make, but not exactlly.  It's soooo delicious and I can't wait to make it for Mom and Dad when they get back to town.  Anyway, for my family, including my parents and siblings - Connie and Jim and Patti - as they painstakingly grew up with me requesting this kind of food for my birthday EVERY YEAR - metts & sauerkraut, I have LOVED German food from a VERY young age (and I don't think any of my other siblings ever embraced this food).  Thank God Frank has embrased sauerkraut (slowly but surely) over the years and he was crazy for this.  I would only make one change to this recipe (as Frank thanks me) - to double the meat.  It just didn't have enough of the sausage.  But it did have plenty of 'kraut because I made sure of that!  ;)
