Saying good bye to South River.
True to her love of the beads, Lia LOVES the necklace I made for her for an upcoming wedding we're going to. She says "me" and I am trying to teach her "mine".
Like my mom said, we are so lucky to have friends that are really like FAMILY! We're sad to leave but had a fabulous time - thanks for everything Martha & Tim!!!
The last night here and we had a fire, it was awesome!

Lia LOVES the beads and the bead shop! Every day she brought out the step stools so she could check out all of the different beads.
This kiln wasn't working until the last day when they fixed it, so we got to anneal all of the beads we made!
Lia loves being out in the garden, and that's a good thing because I love it too. Here are the broccoli plants. I also planted kale and chard in the bigger bed for Martha, and I hear it's coming in well! :)

Rocks and Gardens
Every day Martha walks the dogs (more than once). I went also but often Lia loved being taken along in the stroller.
I happily put in some garden area for Martha and Tim when I was up there, since their time is spread very thin. And, got to use up a whole bunch of the many many rocks that they've collected over the years around the beds.
Tim, an employee of theirs, helped dig the tomato holes.
Here's Lia helping me plant the seeds! She loves planting and helped at home too.

Now hugs for Martha and Babe the cat!

Swedish Tea Ring & Lake Bernard
Swedish Tea Ring, a recipe Martha grew up with.
Sugar, cinnamon & raisins!
This is really amazing!
We love coming to this park - it's right on the water & has some great slides and swings for Lia!
Taken at the end of the pier (not the one in the picture above, it is a much longer pier), it's just beautiful! Look at this expression! I love this picture!!!

This is just the first time we got on the torches together. SO fun! Can't wait to set up my own lampwork station at home!
Lia absolutely LOVES Martha = Lia's translation = Mart-mart! Lia also said her first 3 word sentence today "Mart mart wok dod-ey", Martha walks her dogs alot!
Lia busy with her art of slipping the crayons in the spine of the notebook while I am assembling jewelry!
Not even finished with dinner but had to put on the new bracelets I assembled.
Tim reading Lia a story!
At the torch!
Snuggle time with Patsy!

Never a dull moment
We went south today to try to spot a moose. No moose spotted but Lia enjoyed some apple treats on the way.
Here Lia is enjoying wearing one of the lampwork necklaces!
Time to spin the cat Larry!
Always time to buckle up!
Check out this amazing fish bead! I am impressed!

Martha & Tim and some of the jewlery that I made from Martha's beads. She is super appreciative of someone coming in (me) who loves making jewelry (esp. her beautiful lampwork beads) b/c she has hardly any time to even make the beads these days, let alone assemble them into necklaces, bracelets, etc. And this is awesome for me to give back to these guys with my jewelry labor! :)

Welcome to South River
Here we are at Tim & Martha's wine shop!
After the wine shop we HAD to go to the slide for Lia!
Here's Martha helping Lia up the climbing part of the slide (while getting bit by a black fly). Thanks Martha!

Lia is in HEAVEN here in South River - 11 cats & 4 dogs for her to keep busy. She is soooo happy!
