Happy Valentine's Day!

Lia helped me make some Valentine Lolli Pops. 

I got this idea off of a blog for Valentine Crafts.  They started out like pictured above, but I realized that these would be pretty big so I decided to scale them down a bit. 

Here's how they turned out....just perfect for fitting into your mouth.  Some had dark and white chocolate and some were made with semi sweet morsels.   They were pretty labor intensive since I could only bake a few at a time, because I had to form them while hot, and when I baked more half would cool so much that I couldn't manipulate them.  Overall, I'm really happy with how they turned out!  :)  Happy Valentines Day!

Frank is pretty awesome with the Etch A Sketch.  He regularly draws different versions of Lia on here.  It's pretty cool (until Lia wants to shake it up).  She doesn't quite understand the time, patience and talent that goes into one of these creations!

Knitting cables!

Here's a dishcloth I knitted of a carrot.  It's my first attempt at knitting cables and I'm pretty excited to have succeeded in this task.  Most knitters I know haven't cabled, so now I'm onto something new! 

I knitted it as a gift for Colleen, because Colleen and Andy host a Root Vegetable party each year to celebrate her birthday.  Lia said she wants one also so I've begun one for my girl!  :)
