After the wedding - checking out Newport RI

Before we left the hotel Lia had to have some fun with her bubble blowing on the balcony!
We toured only 1 mansion, but it was amazing, the grounds and the inside of the house.

Afterwards we went for the Cliff Walk, it was beautiful.  Frank and I were last there when my cousin got married in CT, many many years ago!

After our exploration we found a nice restaurant that served.....
LOBSTER!  ;)
Like Father like Daughter!

After party in the tent

Here's Lia with Aunt Mary.
Now for some fun....Lia is a GREAT dance partner!  She loves to dance with me and we always have so much fun whether it's at home or out at a wedding!  ;)

After Michael and Meghan's wedding...

We took an awesome boat ride to where the reception was held.

Windy but really an incredible experience for us all.
Especially for Lia and Grandma Ruth!
Ruth and Lia off of the boat.
Lia proudly opted to ride up with Uncle Johnny and Grandma.  What fun!
Now this picture gives you a nice perspective....a bit smaller than Downton Abbey.
But up there is the pre-reception.  Down below (not pictured) is a huge
tent waterside where the dinner and dancing will happen.
Here's a view of the water from the hill.
Frank and his Mom.
Lia and the bride...Lia was soooo excited.  Meghan was like a living breathing PRINCESS to her this day!
And Lia with the handsome groom, Frank's nephew, Michael.
Sweet little June taking a snooze.

Saturday morning in Newport RI

This morning we drove around Newport RI.  We came upon this beach and it got from better to best quickly.  The weather didn't look promising in the morning but suddenly the sun came out and there we were at the ocean.  Lia quickly shed her white sweater - see as the photos progress - and by the end she was wearing my shirt on the way back to the hotel - because her dress was SOAKED from the ocean water, God love a good frolic in the ocean!  ;)

This pink dress of hers, was completely saturated with sand.  It took many rinses to get clean but hey! We had so much fun who cares?!

Arrived in Rhode Island!

Lia and I flew out today to RI to meet Frank for a Stanton Family wedding!!!  Lia brought Lighty Whitey with us.
Here we are at Jim and Jan's cottage for the evening before Mike and Meghan get married!  It rained but was a beautiful night!  We enjoyed being with family!  :)  Altho the only pictures we really got were these family shots.
