Free range turkeys, young chickens and more at Red Sun Farm!

Here's Patti taking photos (she takes amazing photos!) and hanging out with the the turkeys.

Look at the beautiful face!!!

These guys and gals are amazing! Check out our visit to the farm.

Oh My Gosh! Check out the active, inquisitive young chickens! We can't wait to eat the eggs these beauties produce! Talk about the PERFECT food...

Amazing LOCAL Grass Fed Short Ribs!

Jeanne made an incredible dish with these short ribs - something in honor of Patti who came all the way from CA and is also into eating LOCAL, HORMONE-FREE, GRASS-FED meats! This dish was amazing! We thank the cow for the contribution!
Here's Patti with Lia! She helped so much and bounced Lia who loved it!

Yummy Organic/Free Range Dinner!

Yum! Greek Style Burgers with Feta Aoli (made with our grass fed hormone free beef!) and served with Jeanne's organic tomatoes and lettuce and also a Butternut Squash Gratin with Rosemary Breadcrumbs (again, organicly grown here in our yard squash and also home grown rosemary) and potatoes we got from Gorman Heritage Farm. Delicous meal!!!

We were in Northside for Gail's Birthday party!

One of Gail's friends made buttons that read "Gail knows me"
and "Gail has seen me naked", etc.!

Fall Garden pics

Swiss Chard - beautiful as ever.
I wish I had more time to cook and proccess this for winter eating!

Here's a new planting of baby kale! Looks like the slugs are helping themselves!

Here's a mix of my organic lettuces and in the back some beets. Yum!

Today was a day FULL of FARMS!

Today Lia, Colleen and Jeanne went to 2 different farms. We shared with Colleen the farm we go to for eggs, chicken, pork and beef (grass fed, free range & hormone free!). Colleen shared with us her favorite place for apples, which she worked at when she was in school. Below you'll see that Red Sun is raising turkeys for Thanksgiving. These birds were crazy funny, they were all about being around us and the sound they made was far from a gobble - it was more like a bark!

Fresh! Free Range!

Hmmm..

These turkeys are checking out Lia! I can tell you one thing -

SHE won't be THEIR Thanksgiving dinner!

Happy Happy Happy!

Now onto .....

Rouster's Apple House

Colleen worked here when she was younger.

Yummy cider and FROZEN cider pops!

Guess which apple I liked the best?! I'm not kidding!

Saturday Oct. 11th at OBAMA Headquarters

Lia and I went down to the OBAMA Headquarters to get a yard sign and support Obama!

Bathroom is looking fabulous! Almost finished!

Carpet in the bedroom installed by none other - Frankie boy!

Frank and I found this window at an antique store
