Festival of Lights Dec 2008

Jeanne, Lia and Colleen went to the Zoo Saturday December 27th. The weather was incredible - high 60s and of course, everyone else had the * smart * idea to go to the zoo in this weather also.Colleen really liked the seahorse light display.Lia was in awe of the lighted earth.
Here's a really cool under water turtle that we saw.

Well, this pretty much shows you our weather while we were in Rochester: SNOW, SNOW and more SNOW! Frank shoveled the driveway several times, even AFTER it was plowed.
Lia enjoyed her Stanton family! The Stanton Ladies.
After our turkey dinner - yum!
Lia loved her Grandma Ruth!

Jakki & Len Hauser's Christmas Party

Last night we went to a Christmas party thrown by the couple who commissioned Frank to do the painting hanging below, a copy of Samuel Morris's Gallery of the Louvre. The party was terrific, their home is magnificent and the painting looks fabulous!

This really shows the scale of where Frank's painting hangs.

Well, it really looks like this painting was made for the space....oh yeah.....it was!
Us in the stairwell, below the painting.
Look at this window treatment! Beautiful!
Another beautiful room, another beautiful window treatment.
This is the master bed(room).
This is the ceiling of the home theater room - amazing! The seats reclined with ottomans popping up! What a room!
This is Jakki on the left with her mom and sister.

A Man Named Pearl

I just watched this movie and it is amazing! Thanks Patti for recommending it!! And Frank started to watch it also and is really enjoying it. Best of all, it's a documentary, so you can just order it up from the library. A MUST to watch! ~ Jeanne

A Man Named Pearl tells the inspiring story of self-taught topiary artist Pearl Fryar. It is a subtle and intriguing film that is certain to open hearts and minds. It offers an upbeat message that speaks to respect for both self and others, and shows what one person can achieve when he allows himself to share the full expression of his humanity.

Above is just a TINY example of the amazing works in his garden! What an artist!

Jeanne made Egg Pizza last night!

Pizza with Eggs, Roasted Red Peppers, Olives and Arugula Here is the pizza - minus the arugula. Might be good next time to add some of our local yummy bacon to it! Serving it up!Frankie can't get enough!! Mmmm mmm good!
Check it out - Frank's got egg on his face! Messy boy!

Having fun - Lia is ASLEEP!!!
Silly Frank!
Jeanne is holding an ornament from her childhood, Frosty!
Here's our tree standing, before Jeanne found it the next morning hanging from the 1 support it had (see it on the left - it now has 2!), almost completely fallen down!
