2 Family - Dining Room Windows!

Here's a picture of all 3 windows above, and below shows in more detail. The center window (on the left) and the outer window (on the right). Double click on it to zoom in. We're quite proud and happy to have these window done! They really complete this room and our beautiful 1st floor appartment. We've been told by more than one person that this appartment is not only a work of art, but a masterpiece. We can't help but agree. These windows are the finishing touch to a room that is viewed by the kitchen Frank and Jeanne designed and Frank really created. We honestly can't imagine a nicer appartment so we're excited about finding great renters for this incredible space. There is one more stained glass project (2 side lights) for Jeanne to complete after Frank installs the entry door. It'll be soon! :D

Michael Pollan "In Defense of Food: The Omnivore's Solution"

Jeanne and Connie went to Xavier University today to listen to Michael Pollan speak. He is a nationally recognized author of numerous books including In Defense of Food: An Eaters's Manifesto and Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals.
Really, how DID eating ever get so complicated? Years ago we ate whole milk, butter, grass fed and pastured meat and dairy, seafood and fruits and vegetables.
So many foods today are thoroughly processed - look at the ingredient label and you can't recognize many of the ingredients on the box. The fact is that today people who eat the western diet (a diet consisting mostly of processed foods, high intake of red meat (not grass fed), sugary desserts, junk foods and fast foods with a high sodium, sugar and saturated fat content and low nutrient density) reliably get diseases: heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and other cardiovascular diseases.
What to do? Eat local, non processed foods = visit your farmers market. He also understands the sustainability of raising and eating grass fed and pastured animals. Our health is linked = soil - to - animal - to - us. We must never forget that our land passes in and out of our bodies just as our bodies pass in and out of our land.
