Our first Scamper trip!!!!

 Hiking!
Lia a little trouper!
Lia decided Rosie is her best animal to bring b/c Rosie can sit and have tea!
Frank is the awesome fire guy!
We had to have shrimp, since were naming her Shrimp Scamper, and in the foil is roasted broccoli from my garden!
Check out how SMALL our little one is (and I'm not talking about Lia).
I decided to splurge and treat us to fillets also!  We ended up eating most of the shrimp with eggs the next day (shrimp and eggs = YES!  So good together!).

Follow the signs...
Stand back from the fencing...
Here's a bouquet of about 12 different wild flowers we picked (Lia kept saying "blue-cay"), which was really a game I came up with to stop Lia from asking 1/2 way through for us to pick her up!  It worked GREAT!  And we came home with flowers!!!

Our Beautiful Scamp "Scamper"- AFTER

Ok, so it was me who had this great idea!  I have ALWAYS wanted a smallish RV or trailer for taking trips, ever since my neighbors years ago had one that I thought was awesome.  Somehow I stumbled upon the idea of this trailer, a Scamp.  They are fiberglass (therefore light weight - this one I can tow with my RAV 4 even).  And they are SMALL.  Which is PERFECT.  This way we get to bring (under cover from rain and other weather) all of the things we need, including electrical outlets, a stove, an AC unit and heater,
comfy beds, table, and much more!
This was a really fun project for Frank and I.  If you know us you know we like to remodel or re-do our homes, and make it our own.  In this way, this little gem, which we are calling our "Shrimp Scamper" (think size and also rhymes with camper) has made it into our hearts and we've enjoyed the work to make it special for our family camping trips.  Lia loves it also!
So, you can see new paint color and hardware that I was able to change, new window treatments (I made them with black out fabric liner which will be good for bright mornings and also sunny warm days), new laminate table top Frank installed, along with new carpet and AC (under table) and vinyl (with the look of tin) behind the counter for keeping that area clean - Frank's idea and I chose the pattern.  I wanted a little bit of a retro feel for this little camper.
Frank also put in a silver ware drawer (plenty of room between fridge and stove top for this)!   I LOVE this!
And this drawer above is completely new thanks to Frank.
He also installed shelves in the cabinet (it had none).
Lia's excited to get the top bunk!
Isn't it great?  We just LOVE it.  It's our little home away from home, altho it's not something we plan on spending too much time IN....but to sleep in and prep
store (fridge!) and cook food, eat when it's cold or hot, etc., and haul our stuff, it is perfect!

Tonight I got together with (anotther) Jeanie, long over due and at the new Maribelle's location.  It's not often I go out anymore without Lia but it was a wonderful night to see my friend!

Blueberry Gateau!

Lia helped me make some Blueberry Gateau, our new favorite blueberry dish!  Thanks Connie for the recipe!  And considering we came home from Indiana with 5 lbs of blueberries, that's a reason to double the recipe!!!
Look who loves to eat this dessert!  And it's not just Lia either!

Picking up our new Scamp!

We are VERY excited!  We just picked up our new 1999 Scamp 13' fiberglass trailer today!!!
We were THRILLED to find one so close to home, only 2 hours away!  Lia decided to be shy for the photo, probably b/c it was nap time!
Here are some photos of the before, we plan to do quite a rehab on this project!  We really lucked out also that the upholstry is in such good condition and is pretty neutral (most of the other ones we've seen had really terrible upholstry).  I plan to change the color of the cabinets (Frank thinks the wood looks fine but not me!), the laminate table top and the window treatments.  Possibly even the carpet....so much work to do.  Frank said he'd like to add shelves and drawers!

Lia's Birthday Dinner

Lia is about to see the SAND CASTLE that her Dad made for the 1st time!!!
OMG!!!
Gee Dad, thank you!!!
It even has a bridge AND a moat with fish, plants and tadpoles!
We had family here to share in her birthday!!!
It was not too hot to eat outside, thankfully!
Lia's food requests:  1 was clam chowder.
Next was mussels!  Our girl LOVES her some mussels!  And so do we all!
Cheers to Lia on her birthday!  Our VERY special gift.  I can't believe
it's been 4 years since her birth, time sure flies by!
 Make a wish!!!

Happy 4th Birthday Sweet Lia!!!!

Happy Birthday!  Lia got to open 1st her present from Nana & Poppy -
a PRINCESS dress up set!
This year I decided to do something simple, silly flowers on
Root Beer Chocolate mini cupcakes & cupcakes.
Frank, Lia and I went up to Lebanon and stayed at a B & B that
had a swimming pool!  Perfect for a hot summer day.
We went to see the Juice at the Blues Fest (Lia loves the Juice)!
Lia eating her cupcake.
Then back to the pool before bedtime - what a perfect way to end our day!  What a great (and hot) day.
