Harvest Black Bean Tart or Tarts?

Harvest Black Bean Tart....delicious!  My idea? 

I wonder if I could make it into smaller sizes for appetizers.... 

So, I tried mini muffins and muffin sizes. 

Both worked! 



An organized fridge!!!

I was recently at my friend Melissa's home for dinner and I was telling her about a new lazy susan I bought and put on my counter and how I loved this space now.  She then showed me that she put a lazy susan INSIDE of her fridge to help with the organizing.  I LOVED the idea and promptly went out and got 3 of them for my fridge!  It has transformed my fridge.  So helpful!  And, here's a photo of the lazy susan on my counter below!

 

 

Mmmmmm........Fromage Fort

 

 I recently discovered Fromage Fort....which is a cheese spread and translates to "strong cheese".   I was browsing through one of Connie's favorite blogs, Smitten Kitchen and I stumbled across this recipe.  How ingenious to take lots of left over cheeses and combine them using butter, garlic, herbs and wine!  I think some of my favorite all time ingredients.  Ends up that this is just as good as it sounded!!!

My first time making it and mine included cheddar, feta, baby swiss, blue, muenster and bucheronion.  DELICIOUS!

Festival of Lights

Today was the last chance for us to get to the Festival of Lights! 

What a fun way to ring in the new year!!!

We wrote thank you letters to Santa. 

Lia really loves learning how to spell and write. 

On our way out.  The only bittersweet thing about this was that it reminded me so much of the time 2 years ago when Frank, Lia and I went to the Festival of Lights with Jim, Alex and Marissa.  I wish they could have all been with us today.
